We're not going back to normal! Join us to celebrate a year of powerful movement wins and ground ourselves in wholeness as we continue to build the world we believe in.
The Celebration of Grassroots Organizing (formerly known as the Lobster Feed) is organized by, and funds, 11 grassroots organizations in Boston. We’ve spent the past year sustaining the neighborhoods most impacted by COVID, fighting on the front lines of the movement for Black lives, and defending communities from the harms of gentrification, policing, deportations, and climate change, among others. Together, let's raise $100,000 for justice and liberation in Boston!
This event will happen in two parts: Afternoon (12 PM) and Evening (7 PM). Your ticket includes entry to both!
Program:
Friday Afternoon, 6/25: Not Going Back To Normal (12 - 1:15 PM):
- Grounding with healing justice organizer and afro-indigenous priestess Lanise Arirá of Seed of Osun
- Community conversations with organizers on questions facing our movement
Friday Evening, 6/25: Rebuilding in Solidarity (7 - 8:30 PM):
- Performance from award-winning hip-hop group Foundation Movement
- DJ set from "selectress with no inhibitions" DJ Dee Diggs
- Grounding and healing with organizer/facilitator Sol Gonzalez
We'll spotlight the work of local organizers and movement leaders, and you'll help us make a virtual quilt inspired by the world we're building together.

Once (11) organizaciones de base en Boston organizan y financian la Celebración de la Organización de Base (anteriormente conocida como el Lobster Feed). Viernes por la tarde, 25/6: No regresaremos a la normalidad (12 - 1:15 PM) se enfocará en conversaciones comunitarias alrededor de las preguntas a las que se enfrenta nuestro movimiento.
Viernes por la noche, 25/6: Reconstruyendo en solidaridad (7 - 8:30 PM) incluirá:
- Presentación del grupo de hip-hop Foundation Movement, ganador de premios
- Sesión de DJ de "selectress with no inhibitions" (“selecciones sin inhibiciones”) DJ Dee Diggs
- Centrarnos y sanación con organizadore/facilitadore Sol González
Destacaremos la labor de organizadores y líderes locales del movimiento y ustedes nos ayudarán a crear un edredón virtual inspirado por el mundo que estamos creando juntes.
