Liberation Games is BACK! Join us for warm reconnections with friends, good food, fun games, and supporting frontline movement organizations in Boston.

We're putting the FUN in FUNding our movements.
Before COVID, many of us got together to play and raise over $5,000 for movement work.
We’re back! Are you ready to join the game?

Event Tickets
General Admission tickets are $30 in advance. Tickets are for entry to the event. You can use your entry ticket as a donation to featured orgs in the Game Room, or as a single entry into one of the tournaments.
All the ticket sales and donations will raise funds for power-building campaigns in Massachusetts listed below.
- Louder for Lan - Stopping Lan’s deportation and amplifying the fight against deportation from local to national.
- Rent Control - A coalition of organizations building power for housing stability.
- Reimagining Communities - Supporting formerly incarcerated people when they are released, and in the long-term, working towards divesting from prisons and investing in communities.
- Ella Baker Fellowship - Training youth and community members into skilled organizers, and connecting them to youth, community and labor organizing.

- Family vibe (all ages welcome), 5:00-8:00pm
- Party vibe, 8:00-midnight
The Tournaments
Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament- Refresher lessons from 6:30-7:00 pm in the tournament room
- Pre-registration to all tournaments are through this form!
- You can register at the event starting at 6:00pm; tables kick-off at 7:00pm
- LAST ENTRY OR RE-BUY AT 9:00pm
- Final table around midnight
- Standard Texas Hold'Em rules
- Blinds schedule posted during event
Dominoes Tournament
- Refresher lessons from 6:30-7:00 pm in the tournament room
- Registration opens at 6:30pm
- Pre-registration to all tournaments are through this form!
- Final match by 11:30pm
Spades Tournament
- Refresher lessons from 6:30-7:00 pm in the tournament room

Lessons
Always wanted to learn how to play a tournament game? This is the night. Join us for lessons before the tournaments start if you want a refresher or anytime in the night if you just want to learn.
Choosing your Cause for the Tournaments
The purpose of this event is to have fun while putting resources into organizing and movement building for collective liberation. Choose** the cause you are playing for based on the following criteria:- grassroots group or organization
- engaged in some form of organizing or movement building
- building toward justice and liberation
- working locally in boston/new england
Everything Else
Donate - Make a donation to support our event being accessible!
Food/drink - we'll have dinner plates for sale and drinks for recommended donation.
Childcare - free during "family vibe" from 5:00pm-8:00pm! Make sure you get a free childcare ticket for each child. There will be follow-up questions on the order form so we know the ages and if you would like to contribute to cover childcare costs (not required).
Wheelchair accessibility - all of Sponatenous Celebrations is wheelchair accessible.
Game room - open for self-organized gaming. Cards, board games, etc. Please bring your own to share and teach, and we will have some too. Game room buy-ins will be distributed to featured organizations through a non-competitive process. We encourage players in the poker or dominoes tournaments to have fun in the game room (if you get knocked out).
Tournament times - Registration starts at 6:00PM and Tournaments are likely to last past 11:00PM. Cutoff for Dominoes TBD. Last entry/re-buy for Poker is 9:00PM.
Tournament rules - will be set and posted by committee at the event.
Lessons - Hosts in the Game Room are happy to talk you through the games in our library! For tournament games, we'll have lessons before the tournament and throughout the night. Afterwards, if you're feeling up to it, join a tournament!
Volunteer - we can definitely use your help with planning and on the day-of with setup, cleanup, tournament operation and more. Let us know if you're interested in helping out HERE.
Parking/transit - limited parking at the venue and in visitor parking on surrounding streets. Spontaneous is a two-minute walk from Stony Brook Station on the Orange Line, and we suggest taking the T.
